Doing anything can be hard during a national lockdown, let alone starting a new job. But that has not stopped these brave souls from becoming the newest members of the Prestige Network Family.
Each of our Lockdown Starters brings new skills that extend and enhance our services.
So let’s meet them.
Isaac (Marketing)
Role at Prestige Network: In-house multimedia expert
Joined during: Lockdown 1
Special Skills: National level decathlete and pro photographer
Isaac was the first new starter during the lockdown period and was successfully onboarded during a period when many were on furlough. However, his eagerness to contribute and ability to create something out of nothing soon made him an indispensable part of the team. Even if most of the team had not met him yet.
Christi (Projects)

Role at Prestige Network: Handling projects with seemingly impossible efficiency
Joined during: Lockdown 1
Special Skills: Her baking is to die for
Christi joined Prestige Network shortly after becoming a master of translation. Her passion and aptitude for languages make her perfect for coordinating the multitude of projects at Prestige Network. She has many languages under her belt, including French, Spanish and Afrikaans, and is always looking to add more.
Yvonne (Recruitment)

Role at Prestige Network: Making sure Prestige is always fully stocked with the right kind of talent
Joined during: Lockdown 2
Special Skills: “I always think I should be on stage.”
Yvonne’s hunger and ambition are some of the reasons that led her to Prestige Network, and we are all the luckier for it. She has experience in a variety of industries and leverages her skills to find the best people for your translation, interpreting or transcription needs. She is intensely driven, but aggressively approachable at the same time. Just be prepared to come away with new knowledge every time you speak to her.
Ethan (Marketing)

Role at Prestige Network: Spreading the good Prestige word
Joined during: Lockdown 3
Special Skills: “I can make a cobra with my hands”
Ethan was the first of the 2021 batch. He has split his time between the UK and China and is now stuck here for the foreseeable future, which is good news for Prestige Network. He, too, has applied his marketing skills to various industries and uses this experience to the fullest. He claims to be interested in the philosophy of languages, but this has yet to be proven.
Josh (Sales)
Role at Prestige Network: Building enduring relations with our clients
Joined during: Lockdown 3
Special Skills: “I don’t think there’s anyone my age that’s quite as good at video games as me.”
Josh has over 15 years of experience in the language service industry, which might sound intimidating. But then you meet him and all that fear fades away. Next thing you know, an hour has passed and you’ve forgotten that you’re at work. Just be careful not to get in his way when he switches on sales mode.
Amela (Bookings)
Role at Prestige Network: Matchmaking clients and interpreters
Joined during: Lockdown 3
Special Skills: She say’s she’s shy, which means she’s hiding something incredible
Amela is the newest member of the Prestige Network Family and she has plunged head-first into her role with the grace of an Olympic diver. Her experience in communication and dealing with people has made her a natural fit in helping you connect with the right translator or interpreter.
We are always looking for new members, so if you wish to join the Prestige Family, you can find out more here.
