Emilie’s 1 Week at Prestige Network

Posted: 10/09/2025

My time as an intern at Prestige Network has been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and inspiration. From day one, I was welcomed into a supportive and friendly team who made me feel like a valued part of the company. Being surrounded by such lovely and knowledgeable people has helped me develop not only my marketing skills but also a much deeper understanding of the company’s mission and the people it serves.

Throughout my internship, I’ve had the chance to create engaging posts and blogs on a wide range of topics, including British Sign Language (BSL), wellbeing, and the theater band Pat Rascal, which Prestige Network is supporting for their Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025 performance. Writing content on these meaningful themes has helped me develop my creativity and improve my communication skills, and I’ve truly enjoyed being able to contribute to work that makes a real difference.

One of the highlights of my internship has been learning about British Sign Language (BSL). I can now spell my name in sign language and have even learned the days of the week! It’s been exciting to immerse myself in a new form of communication and to gain a deeper understanding of the deaf community and the importance of accessibility. I especially admire how seriously Prestige Network values BSL and inclusive communication. The team is committed to learning BSL to ensure that everyone in the workplace feels fully included, supported, and welcomed. This strong sense of inclusivity really stood out to me and showed how much they value connection and understanding within the company.

This strong sense of inclusivity really stood out to me and showed how much they value communication and connection within the workplace. I also had the opportunity to see how Prestige Network works behind the scenes, particularly how they recruit and support interpreters. I’ve learned how carefully they select professionals to make sure they deliver the best outcomes for both their clients and the wider network.

Overall, I’ve learnt so much. This internship has given me a real insight into the world of marketing, inclusive communication, and teamwork. I’m incredibly grateful for everything I’ve experienced and for the chance to be a part of such a meaningful and driven organisation.
