Professional typesetting in every language you’ll ever need.

As a young typographer, I learnt to focus on the detail right from the start of my career. Having this core typographical knowledge has helped a wide spectrum of clients maintain their brand and corporate identities across their global markets.

Prestige Network’s global typesetting resource makes even the most complex project run like clockwork, consistently delivering a professionally produced print, web ready or eLearning asset.

I hope that you’ll find my observations of help when you next need to have your translated brochure, catalogues reports and manuals typeset.

Managing the challenges

Each multi-lingual project brings its own challenges; retaining the visual balance of the original design, finding substitute fonts that support unusual character sets, resolving text expansion (and contraction), repagination for right to left reading languages or typesetting hundreds of pages economically – and quickly, localising graphics and sometimes creating new content using your templates.

You can help the typesetter and reduce costs by considering how your page layouts will work if typesetting in a right to left reading language, providing suitable fonts or considering alternatives. You may also want to consider if your images will be acceptable for all cultures.

Resources and expertise

We often receive requests to typeset assets with very short lead times but try to allow as much time as possible to complete the task.

Giving us time to thoroughly review your files and maybe typeset a sample to show you how it will look in another language, will ultimately save you time (and money!).

With professional studio resources in the UK, middle East, India and East Asia we not only have the expertise needed when working with a wide range of language, but also the capacity to deliver large, complex multi-language projects quickly.

Seamless workflow

We often receive a translation that has been supplied by the client. Naturally, we are happy to use these translations as a basis for typesetting.

However, when we are commissioned to translate and typeset, we will create a seamless workflow that enables faster, lower cost production, often with fewer rounds of revision.

Automation of the workflow means that the process is unbroken from start to finish. It includes proofreading by one of our team of linguists and final QA ensuring that the typeset asset is meets your expectation.

With standards as exacting as any creative agency, and Account Managers with years of experience, every client will receive excellent support for every typesetting need:

Working with your translation

Many organisations provide their own translated content. If it’s provided as an M S Word or Excel bilingual table (where source and target languages are presented side-by-side) it speeds the typesetting process, minimises error and helps manage the cost.
