While we have a team of legal translation professionals, there are things you can do to streamline the process and speed up your translation delivery. Here are our top five tips on what you can do to help your enquiry, and our team respond faster with the information you need.

How can we help you with your case?

Do you need a document translated, an interpreter, or an audio transcription?

Letting us know exactly what you need speeds up the process for you. Maybe you need one or a combination of our services. Understanding your requirements from the outset allows us to remove some of the “small talk” and give appropriate suggestions and accurate pricing.

When are your deadlines?

When do you need the final files, have you a court submission date?

We understand that deadlines are often outside your control, with a clear understanding of your case and the deadlines you are working to for your client, we can plan your work accordingly, avoiding those last-minute panics, and making sure you receive the best translation possible, with the right certification.

Which content is relevant?

If you give us a large document, but only need parts of this translated let us know.

It’s a lot quicker only to translate the content you need. If you have a large document in a language you’re not familiar with, we can provide a gist translation, from which you can select areas of interest. Reserving our professional translation service for these critical selections will save you money. However, quality source data is a key requirement for this service.

Required level of certification.

Is a Statement of Truth sufficient for your document? We can offer sworn translation, Notarised document or if required Home Office Apostille.

Many translations are accepted by the courts with a Statement of Truth from the translator, occasionally a higher level of certification is required. Knowing which level you need when you ask for a translation allows us to incorporate any special requirements into the schedule, and ensures we have appropriate services available when needed.

Quality source material = quality translation.

The higher quality the source material, the more likely we can offer those solutions that can save both time and cost.

This seems obvious, but the implications may not be. If we receive quality source documents, we have more flexibility as to what we can offer, be it AI enhanced translation and post edit, or professional human translation. Whereas handwritten or poor-quality sources can only be translated by a human, which will influence both the time and cost of the project. Clear word documents or PDF’s are the best source documents for translation.

And there you have it, five simple ways to speed up your enquiry process next time you’re in need of legal translation. Our services for Solicitors and Legal documents extend to transcription of court evidence, Witness Statements and interviews. Our fully qualified legal interpreters are available via telephone, video, and face-to-face. Court qualified and DBS checked we can help you whatever your case, from Family Law to Dispute Resolution, and Arbitration.

Let us help you by knowing your project, saving hassle, time, and money.
