Grow your way out of a crisis

We highlight the urgency for UK businesses to adapt marketing strategies for post-Brexit global trading, focusing on localizing content.

growth through localisation

With 58 days to Brexit from 4/11/20, the British Chamber of Commerce tell us that only half of UK companies who trade internationally have considered the effect of Brexit on their business.

We don’t think any organisation is simply hunkering down and hoping it will go away. Indeed, it’s likely that most are preparing carefully for a changed global trading landscape.

But visualise a new corporate world with new competitors, a world where you’ll need to meet new challenges if you are to succeed.

Challenges that shouldn’t be ignored.

Let’s explore your challenges each week – and how to resolve them

This week, we’ll take a look at your marketing needs.

Expand your global markets

Localising your marketing collateral gives access to global markets. You’ve already done the hard work, creating your initial content, considering your tone of voice and carefully reflecting your brand as you wish it to be perceived.

Prestige has partnered with organisations from global household names you’ll recognise to smaller businesses localising their content. With over 30 years in this area, we can help you too.

Localising Objectives
Consider whether you want your collateral translated quickly and at minimum cost, but still accurately, or would you prefer your own language and branding carefully reflected and culturally adjusted? It doesn’t even have to be black or white, if you prefer greyscale, we have a solution.

What collateral should you localise?
(and how easy is it to do so?)

Website, E-commerce and Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) product catalogues
Whatever platform your website uses, from WordPress to Wix, Shopify to BigCommerce, we have CMS Workflow integration and connectors to streamline the localisation process, allowing you to send your content with a click of a button, while you sit back* and wait for it to be returned to you, ready to publish in your chosen languages. (*We know you have plenty of other things to be getting on with while we do the difficult bit in-between, but you don’t have to worry about the details 😊).

Marketing literature, product catalogues and information sheets
We can send you either just the translated content for you to reinsert into your literature, or our own DTP team can send you the final translated catalogues, including localised images.

Multilingual SEO and PPC Ads
Word-for-word translation is far from ideal; you need a specialist to ensure that you’re selling yourself as best you can, and not throwing your advertising budget away. Prestige has the right people to localise your SEO and PPC content.

The DIY approach

Of course, you can do all of this yourself. Find people who understand and write the languages you need, and who have web and DTP skills. Get them to translate all the collateral. Then QC it. Check it again. Mmm. Was that a good use of your time and did you get the results you hoped for? In fact, you’ve probably already tried this to some extent and were disappointed.

Alternatively, use a language service provider who has all these skills. Our toolbox includes experienced native translators with sector-specific knowledge, DTP tools, localisation tools, website connectors, AI enhanced Machine Translation tools and experienced translation project managers, all while conforming to ISO 9001 guaranteeing end-product quality and your information’s safety (we are ISO 27001 accredited).
