Overview

Prestige Network partnered with Discovery Education to localise STEM curriculum content for Chinese-speaking students from kindergarten through to elementary school.

The project involved adapting educational materials originally developed for English-speaking learners into culturally relevant, engaging learning resources suitable for young audiences in China.

Across two large-scale phases, Prestige Network delivered curriculum translation, educational localisation, multimedia localisation, subtitling, desktop publishing and multilingual quality assurance, helping Discovery Education create learning experiences that felt natural to Chinese students while preserving the educational objectives of the original content.

Challenge

Discovery Education recognised that translating educational content for young learners required far more than linguistic accuracy.

To engage children effectively, the curriculum needed to reflect age-appropriate vocabulary, cultural expectations and learning styles while maintaining the integrity of the original STEM programme.
