Brief Description

If you are a recent school leaver with an interest in languages looking for a career in translation project management, look no further! An apprenticeship with Prestige Network will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge you need.

Mentored by our Translation Project Managers, you will have the opportunity to gain end-to-end experience from liaising with clients, file analysis and preparing quotes to coordination of projects and project delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Sales team with analysis of files and word counts
  • Supporting the Project Managers with project set-up, finding Translators and file preparation
  • Negotiation of rates
  • Sourcing new translators
  • Task allocation and issuing of Purchase Orders
  • Internal quality check to ensure translations in line with our Integrated Management System
  • Checking of translations to ensure they are in line with style guides and glossaries
  • Management of supplier relationships
  • Creating and building translation memories
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Commercially astute
  • Good time management essential to meet deadlines
  • Friendly and outgoing personality who inspires trust in clients, suppliers and your peers
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to be discreet and always maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Takes pride in delivering high quality service
  • Detail and results orientated

Other information

• Knowledge of Trados would be a bonus
• Machine Translation experience would be advantageous

Hours of Work

37 hours per week
Monday – Thursday: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm
Friday: 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
