The service is the only one available in the UK that provides:
Any time, Anywhere, Any languageTM
Setting up face to face interpreting is not easy. It is much more complex than organising document translation or telephone interpreting because you need to get several people together in the same place at the same time.
In the criminal justice arena, the need for an interpreter cannot be anticipated or pre planned. This means that when an interpreter is needed, the task of finding and booking the interpreter falls to the first person available who most probably has limited knowledge of language issues. This individual has to determine what is required and then has to start contacting interpreters one by one to determine if they are available, have the right language skills for the task and are an appropriate person for the assignment, all of which takes time.
When you have eventually found an interpreter your problems aren't over. You have to explain to the interpreter how to submit their invoice and tell your accounts department to expect the invoice.
When you use Prestige Network’s managed service all you need to do is call us. Our staff are language services specialists and will have a check sheet to ensure that they collect all the necessary information from you so only one call will be required, saving you valuable time.
When we receive your call, Prestige Network's experienced staff do will find the best match of interpreter skills and availability to meet your needs.
They will contact possible interpreters in your area and find the best one available for your assignment, brief them on the assignment and tell them how to get to you. Once we have found an interpreter for you, Prestige Network will then call you to advise who will be attending and when you can expect them.
On arrival the interpreter will show you their ID badge to confirm who they are.
Prestige Network recognises the NRPSI as one measure of ability and will supply you with registered linguists to comply with Home Office requirements. When a registered interpreter is not available to meet your timescale, you will be informed and offered an alternative interpreter in accordance with Home Office Guidelines. All of our BSL interpreters are also CACDP registered.
All Prestige interpreters are quality checked by Prestige, have been CRB checked and carry Prestige ID cards.
On completion of the assignment the interpreter fills out a timesheet and will ask you to sign it to confirm all the details of the assignment. You will be given a copy for your records.
Each month, Prestige sends a single bill for all your interpreter assignments that month plus management information for each assignment, reducing the amount of work for your accounts section.
Prestige Network was established in 1991 and is now the UK’s leading language services specialist.
We have over 500 public sector clients spread throughout the UK, including, police forces, courts, NHS trusts, DWP and the Identification and Passport Service, many of which already use our managed interpreting service.
