Under the CRB Umbrella

25 July 2007

Prestige Network is proud to announce that it is registered with the Criminal Records Bureau as an Umbrella Body.

The Umbrella Body is an organisation that provides CRB check facilities to all non-registered businesses.

This means that Prestige Network can now obtain the Disclosures directly from CRB, ensuring that our linguists can be vetted efficiently - a requirement often crucial to our customers. This new service is also available to all other companies that require such checks and has already proven to be an invaluable aid to the employment decisions of organisations from public, private and voluntary sectors.

The Criminal Records Bureau is the Home Office's executive agency for dealing with records of convictions held on the Police National Computer. The aim of the scheme is to identify individuals in a "Position of Trust", who may be unsuitable for work with children and other vulnerable members of the society.
